I’ll be playing jazz of all styles; hard bop, vocal, fusion, big band, latin, etc. Anything with a jazz influence may be a candidate. I’ve been collecting music all of my adult life and now have the opportunity to share it. Also, there will be a lot of local artists, past and present. Legendary bluegrass and Jazz guitarist Tony Rice passed away unexpectedly at the end of the year. He had been suffering from a chronic inflammation condition that prevented him from playing for the last couple of years, but no one would have predicted his untimely demise. He was truly one of the great guitarists in his ( or any) genre - a veritable Julian Bream of bluegrass. In this program we hear twlo full-length live-recorded concerts from tow points in Rice's career.
