Twangtacular Ep 16 - Gillian & Judee's Birthday Party

From studios in Columbus Ohio U-S-A, it’s TWANGTACULAR, a production of WCRS Community Radio featuring authentic Country, Western, Bluegrass, and Americana music of the past and present. Today we are celebrating the birthdays of Gillian Welch and Judee Sill. The former is a heralded queen of the new Americana, while the latter is a little known casualty of the Laurel Canyon generation. We kick off this episode, though, with a live version of the late Kris Kristofferson’s “Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” recorded at RCA Studios in 1972. You can listen to this and every episode of Twangtacular on-demand and for free on Mixcloud and at WCRSFM.org. You can also follow the show on Instagram @Twangtacular and if you still like to listen to radio the old fashioned way, you can always do so within Columbus Ohio city limits on Saturdays at 3pm on 92.7 FM and 98.3 FM.
