JP Marat and Big Barking Dog present "AOA" - Kpop 2020

One of my very favorite Kpop bands, AOA (Ace of Angels) is back with a brand new EP. It is absolutely the best work they've done since ChoA left in 2017. Alternative World Music . . . . Nothing Better

JP Marat and Big Barking Dog present "Hats" by The Blue Nile

Very few people today know about a remarkably talented and idiosyncratic band called "The Blue Nile." While eschewing the spot light they gained the admiration and support of Peter Gabriel and Rickie Lee Jones. Today we offer tracks from "Hats", an album that earned the highest accolades from Mojo, NME, Pitchfork, Q and many other musical/cultural magazines. If you look for hidden gems to impress your audiophile friends . . . . consider this a lucky day.

JP Marat and Big Barking Dog present Church Clothes Remix

This is a remix of a show I did many months ago. I've cleaned up the audio a bit and added one new song at the end. Today I pair this podcast with my airing of Kanye West's "Jesus is King."

JP Marat and Big Barking Dog present "In the End" by The Cranberries (released in April 2019)

This is the final (and perhaps the finest) album by the Alternative Band called "The Cranberries." Bursting on to the Alt/Indie scene in 1993 with their debut album entitled "Everyone Is Doing It, Why Can't We?" their haunting track "Linger" continues to be heavily featured on Alt/Indie Rock radio stations across the world. Today I play my favorite tracks from their final Album appropriately titled "In the End" released in April of 2019, following the death of their lead singer Delores O'Riordan.
