COLUMBUS in 1992:
- Gregory S. Lashutka (R) becomes Mayor of Columbus.
- AmeriFlora '92 takes place at Franklin Park; President Bush, First Lady Barbara Bush, and Bob Hope attend the Opening Ceremony.
- Ohio State and Michigan tie in their annual football game; OSU President Gee declared it one of the "greatest Buckeye victories" ever. Michigan and their "Fab Five" beat the basketball Buckeyes in the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament in 1992 as well.
