- South-Western City Schools FAIL a Levy in August. ALL Extracurricular Activities are halted District-wide until an Emergency Levy got passed in November.
- The Columbus Clippers move from Cooper Stadium in Franklinton to the Brand NEW Huntington Park in the Arena District, and become the AAA Affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.
- Hilliard Bradley High School opens in Hilliard, the third High School in the Hilliard City Schools District.
- Kathy A. Krendl becomes the first Female President of Otterbein CollegeUniversity.
- Bob Kendrick replaces Gabe Spiegel as the Evening Anchorman at WSYX ABC 6/WTTE Fox 28.
