Violent crimes and killings are being committed against transgendered people, yet Ohio, like many states does not include GLBT folks as a protected class under state hate-crime laws. After yet another trans woman of color, Rae Lyn Thomas, was murdered this month in Columbus, a vigil was held in Genoa Park.
