Your Music- 191-192- Music from Iran

I this show I have tried to include a representative sampling of music from various regions, styles, and eras, from classical to jazz, underground hip-hop, to musical treatments of sufi poems. Not only is this music beautiful and compelling, but it is also important to share, as many Americans have a extremely myopic view of the people of Iran, based largely on the propaganda being proliferated by the U.S. State department and its loyal media. The goal of this program, and of this station is to promote intercultural understanding, and music is "the universal language".
