Students from the Impact Team, a volunteer group at Eastmoor Academy, share stories and lessons learned from five of the more than 50 activities they did this year. These include CAMP EA, a poverty simulation, Neighborhood Best Conference, work with Faith Mission, and a Habitat for Humanity Project. Giving back fills the 350 student participants with happiness and pride, which then fills the school with active, engaged students.

Take a Break - April 16, 2012

For some students this Spring Break meant watching "Hunger Games" and for others it entailed volunteering abroad. Students hope to end youth violence and others hope to break the habit of using the "R-word." A short piece of fiction shows the importance of empathy. We learn the rules of rugby and we find out about a man behind the student conditioning that goes into Upper Arlington high school sports.
