# 402 - The DJBC "We Beat Ohio" Happy Hour (FULL Show)

1:59:58 minutes (109.85 MB)

Tonight is a night to celebrate. For the first time in ten years, the Michigan Wolverines beat their hated rivals, That Ohio School, 42-27 on November 27, 2011, behind FIVE Hassan Haskins touchdowns, and 3,654 days worth of steam. Then one week later, Michigan won their first Big Ten Championship in 17 years with a 42-3 demolition of Iowa. And for the first time ever, the Wolverines are in the College Football Playoff, being the ONLY school to make the NCAA Final Four in Men's Basketball, Baseball, Football, and Ice Hockey (the four major sports) in the last four years.

College Football Playoff:
# 1 Alabama (12-1) vs. # 4 Cincinnati (13-0) - Cotton Bowl; 3:30PM on 12/31 in Arlington, TX
# 2 Michigan (12-1) vs. # 3 Georgia (12-1) - Orange Bowl; 7:30PM on 12/31 in Miami Gardens, FL

National Championship:
Alabama/Cincinnati vs. Michigan/Georgia - January 10, 2022

Rose Bowl:
Ohio B*ckeyes vs. Utah Utes

The Weekend Warrior skims through events around town, including the return of a Columbus Holiday Staple - The Nutcracker (Ballet Met's The Nutcracker, to be exact).

And Hour # 2 is a bunch of celebratory and upbeat music slapped together, to troll B*ckeye fans, who will lose to Utah in the Rose Bowl on January 1st.

# 401 - What Are YOU Doing To Beat Ohio State This Saturday?

59:46 minutes (54.72 MB)

Tonight on the Show, it's back, THE Game is back, between the # 2 Ohio B*ckeyes (10-1, 8-0) and the # 5 Michigan Wolverines (10-1, 7-1) in Ann Arbor. BOTH the FOX Big Noon Kickoff and ESPN's College GameDay will be LIVE from Ann Arbor on Saturday. Could an upset take place? Maybe, but don't hold your breath. Ohio is an eight point favorite, coming off a 56-7 destruction of then # 7 Little Brother, ending the K-9 for Heisman Campaign. BOTH of the teams they lost to this season got blown out on Saturday (Oregon, who beat Ohio in Columbus on September 11, lost 38-7 to Utah on November 20).

With last year being the first time since 1917 that the Game did NOT take place, this marks the first time since 1903 that The Game is being held in Ann Arbor back-to-back meetings. A B*ckeye win would tie Michigan's 1901-09 streak for the most consecutive wins in Series history.

The winner of this game will win the Big Ten East, and represent the East in the Big Ten Championship in Indianapolis on December 4th.

Storylines for The Game:
- Harbaugh: "We're Playing for ALL the Marbles."
- Harbaugh: "The Playoffs have begun."
- McNamara: "This is why you come to Michigan."
- Can Ojabo & Hutchinson stop Stroud?
- Will Stroud put the pedal to the medal like he did with Michigan State, and last place Indiana, Maryland, & Rutgers?
- Can the Secondary stop the BIG THREE (Olave, Wilson, and Smith-Njigba)?
- Will Corum be able to play?
- Can Haskins shred the Silver Bullets (hey, it worked for Oregon, and helped Minnesota and Nebraska stay in the game against Ohio)?
- Can Michigan "Biakabutuka" the B*ckeyes?
- Will Day put up 100, like he promised in 2020?
- If Michigan gets blown out, does Harbaugh get fired?

Plus, it's Thanksgiving Week!

# 29: I've Got Plenty To Be Thankful For....

58:49 minutes (53.84 MB)

Tonight, a re-broadcast of Show # 29, "I've Got Plenty To Be Thankful For...." (Originally Broadcast: November 21, 2011), which started a new tradition on WCRS, shaming the Ohio B*ckeyes. 2011 was a down year for Ohio, having lost their quarterback and head coach to a cash and memorabilia for tattoos scandal, and saw big players suspended for several games, including their star receiver, who sat out TEN games, for their roles in Tattoogate. Michigan was returning to its former glory under first-year coach Brady Hoke, and favored to beat Ohio for the first time since 2004. Michigan would go on to hold off Ohio with a Courtney Avery interception with 39 seconds left, as Michigan beat Ohio for the first time since 2003, 40-34.

Tonight's show previews that glorious moment in all of college sports, with a Scooby Doo-type spoof, plus celebrity chefs sharing their own Game Day recipes for the B*ckeyes.

SONG LIST:
"I've Got Plenty To Be Thankful For" - Bing Crosby
"The Thing" - Phil Harris
"Hang on Sloopy" - The McCoys
"Hawaiian War Chant" - The Muppets
"Temptation" - Perry Como
